Why the Need For Arrests Public Records? - Is it Legal and Safe to Access Arrests Public Records?

Without the Freedom of Information Act of 1966 every US citizen will not have the privilege to access arrests public records. According to this law the public has the right to know everything about its transactions and its people as well. All they need to do is to create a letter of request that states a reasonable intention in searching public records. But the world is threading a path to full-blown modernization that anything we want to know are amazingly searchable in just a few click on the mouse. This may sound an advantage to the seventh level but legally speaking this abruptly contradicts the US Privacy laws. Fortunately vigilant law-makers solved this problem at once through the Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996.
