Cleveland A Travel Treasure

If you are trying to decide where to spend your next vacation you will need to consider Cleveland. It’s a travel treasure with so much to see and do!

There’s an energy here that just can’t help but get you excited. And whether you want to spend a day relaxing, take in some of the attractions, visit a museum, or take a stroll down the rock and roll hall of fame, there’s something fore everyone!

If you love to shop then Cleveland is a city for you. With so many malls, boutiques, arcades, and specialty shops to visit you can browse all day or shop to you drop! Downtown is home to the Avenue at Tower City Center and the Galleria at Erieview. If that’s not enough then you must check out the three historic arcades all featuring upscale and trendy shops as well as galleries and specialty stores. It’s a gals and guys dream shopping trip!

Visit the zoo, the amusement park, or take in a game of baseball or football. Don’t forget to visit the panoramic and scenic Lake Erie and if you love to be on the water then take a river cruise. No matter what you choose to do this will be a trip you’ll treasure!

Cleveland has many faces depending on the angle you view it so be sure to take them all in. From a sail down the lake to watch the sunset, to a dinner cruise aboard the Nautical Queen. Then take a ride on Lolly the Trolley which provides a tour of over 100 interesting spots in the city. Why not take a stroll and enjoy some of the beautiful architecture of the city? You’ll be impressed! And if you’d like to see the city from above then charter a helicopter or take a ride on the Cyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Check out Cleveland’s past, present and future!

When it comes to attractions and points of interest there are few cities the size of Cleveland that can compete. If you love rock and roll then you’ll just have to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum that’s lives in the house that Rock built.

For those inquisitive minds why not make a trip to the Great Lakes Science Center boasting 6 full floors of displays and interactive activities, as wall as the OMNIMAX Theater. And if Arts is your game you must make a trip to the University Circle which is houses a variety of museums and cultural institutions including the Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Botanical Garden, and the Cleveland Museum of Art to name just a few that call it home.

The energy and excitement that goes with Cleveland’s entertainment world is something you have to experience to understand. Your choices are endless from Broadway to a Carousal Dinner Theater. If you feel like a good laugh then make sure to visit one of the comedy clubs like the Improv. If you feel like dancing the night away no worries, there are over 300 night clubs to choose from. Whether you like jazz, rock and roll, blues, or hip hop it’s there for you! And if you’d just prefer an evening of fine dining, some ethnic cuisine, or just a nice little bistros, that’s not a problem either with over 1000 restaurants there’s sure to be something that makes your day.

If you’ve got the kids with you then you just have to visit the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Heck even if you don’t have kids this is a great stop if you enjoy animals. You’ll find over 3000 resident animals all living in natural habitats. From the zebras that roam the African Plains Savanna, to the Australian kangaroos, to the reptiles from the rainforest. This is quite an adventure so plan to spend the entire day to get the most from it.

Cleveland is an amazing city to visit. It’s a traveler’s treasure chest and one you’ll take home many fond memories from. In fact I bet you’ll be back! Once you get Cleveland in your blood it’s difficult not to return and with so much to see and do you’ll never be board!
