This is a common misconception in the world today. In all actuality, here is how the numbers break down if you want to become a millionaire...
74% - number of people in America who become millionaires have their own business
10% - senior executives
10% - doctors, lawyers and other professionals
5% - sales people and consultants
1% - people who play the stock market, inventors, actors/actresses, singers, songwriters, authors, artists, lottery winners, athletes, etc.
When you dream about becoming a millionaire, how do you see yourself getting there? Most of us tend to think that it takes becoming famous, having a hit song or staring in a movie.
While some people do becoming millionaires by making becoming rock stars, you are far more likely to do it the old-fashioned way and that is to do something very simple and create a business around it.
26% of businesses in the United States do not require any start-up capital. 34% require less than $5,000. These statistics may be alarming as they point out that the majority - 60% of businesses - require less than $5,000 to start!
Many millionaires today started out with a paid-for lawn mower and grew from there. You dont have become the next IBM or Google if you want to become a millionaire. It begins with a simple idea and a plan.
Three of the top five business ideas that turn quickly turn into millionaire models include vending, printing and dry cleaning. There is obviously nothing fancy and exotic about cleaning your neighbors clothes, but I bet your dry cleaner is making more money than you!
